2 weeks later I actually receive the check and there is no signature on the back or proof of electronic deposit or anything. Keep in mind I called 3/30 and they told me it wasn’t even delivered yet!!! After being on the phone for an hour and a half we come to the conclusion that they will mail me a copy of the check. Fast forward again to 4/20 and I call back because I STILL haven’t received the check and they’re telling me the check was cashed on 3/9. Fast forward to march 30 and I call to follow up and they told me the check is showing it’s still in transit and can take up to 8 weeks sometimes. They were supposed to mail me a check for my rewards (about $180) that could take 2 weeks to get here. Not to mention if I downgraded the card I wouldn’t get the same benefits but I would still be paying for them! (why would you lose a customer rather than just downgrade the card if you’re going to lose the $90 either way). They told me they could downgrade the card but I wouldn’t get the $ back but if I cancel the card they’d refund me. So I had a venture card and got charged the $90 fee but decided meh I don’t really use it let me downgrade it and get the fee back. I recently had a horrible experience with them. But peace of mind, for me, cannot be quantified or given a price. Are there companies with more lucrative credit card rewards systems? Absolutely. AND their mobile app is among the best I've used.Ĭould I find a better place to park my money? Probably. The level of genuine care and concern they've shown me over the years has been unmatched by any other customer service department anywhere. I have even had representatives who speak English as a second language recognize a language barrier when dealing with more complicated issues and they transferred me to a more fluent representative without taking an ounce of offense. I've never been met with anything other than compassion, understanding, and professionalism. With that being said, however, I can look past the comparatively lower CLs and no live chat feature because of how consistently fantastic their customer service has been to me over the years. And the fact that it's 2022 and their customer service is by phone/physical mail only is, frankly, pathetic. Their CLIs are a bit aggravating, especially as you claw yourself out of poor credit. There are some quality of life gripes I have with them. I have multiple bank accounts with them as well as two credit cards. I've been with Capital One for nearly 10 years now. No promotion of illegal, fraudulent, or nefarious activities No self-promotional content with prior mod approval. No referrals in posts, comments, or private messages.
